Sean Wolf Galuszka– Recording artist and ASCAP award winning singer/songwriter Sean Wolf Galuszka crafts progressive country rock that’s been described by CD Baby as “early REM meets Wilco,” and Kevin Skinner of Rolling Stone claimed his songs, “perked my ears up!” He’s performed both the country main stage at LA PRIDE and the Ventura County Pride this past year.
Currently, Sean performs live his “songs for lonesome gay cowboys” regularly at the Southern CA, country staple Oil Can Harry’s and recreated a “June and Johnny” duet with recording artist and drag performer Poppy Fields at the Faultline Bar LA. He has also performed for the Tom of Finland Foundation’s Mr. Christopher Street West competition with Jace the Caveat, Mr. LA Leather Bear competition, Eagle LA and Broke Bear Mountain for Bears LA.
Galuszka embodies the “Lonesome Gay Cowboy” in his blend of urban inspired country licks with David Eccles (pedal steel, bass) and Dennis James Willis (mandolin, violin, elec. guit., banjo). Inspired by Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Sean goes back to his roots in rural upstate NY and mines memories of loss, love, and tremendous HOPE for the future, with a little comedy to lighten the emotional load with “Big Boy” an homage to plus size hotties and “Zombie Apocalypse Gay Bear Country Western Christmas Love Song”- a hit in Australia.
When Galuszka guest-starred on ABC’s Miracles as “Garth,” a guitar -toting drifter, producer David Greenwalt was so impressed with his original music that ABC/Touchstone licensed two of his songs for the show. Now Galuszka has fans globally, from North America to Europe and Asia. He has licensed additional music to the popular CBS show Ghost Whisperer, played guitar for Carolyn Dawn Johnson in her hit CMT video single “Simple Life” and appears in the film Sissy Frenchfry, whose soundtrack features four of his original songs including the title theme song. Galuszka’s music was also featured in the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment documentary Bikers, Booze and the Big Picture.
